Seamaster Paint at ARCHIDEX : Behind the Booth
Five days. Countless conversations. One very busy booth.
ARCHIDEX brought the architecture, construction and built environment community together at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), and Seamaster Paint was ready to be part of the action.
But an exhibition is never just about showing up, putting up a display and waiting for visitors to arrive. There’s a lot that happens before the doors open, plenty happening once they do, and usually a few moments that remind you exactly why all that preparation was worth it.
From getting the booth ready to meeting industry professionals and welcoming curious visitors, our five-day ARCHIDEX journey was a mix of hard work, new connections and a little fun along the way.
Here’s what happened behind the booth.

Day 0: Before the Booth Came to Life
Every great exhibition booth starts somewhere. Usually, that somewhere involves an empty space, a long checklist and more boxes than anyone wants to count.
Day 0 was all about preparation. The team coordinated shipments, measured the space, unpacked equipment and worked together to get the booth structure aligned and ready.
It wasn’t exactly the glamorous side of an exhibition, but it was where everything began to come together.
Every detail mattered. The layout had to work, the equipment had to be in place, and the space needed to be ready for the people who would soon walk through the exhibition halls.
There were drills, logistics, plenty of coordination and, naturally, coffee to keep everyone moving.
By the end of the day, the booth was taking shape. ARCHIDEX hadn’t officially kicked off for us yet, but the groundwork was done, and the excitement was building.
Day 1: More Than Just a Display

Once the exhibition opened, our focus shifted from preparation to people.
At Seamaster Paint, we wanted our booth to be more than a space visitors walked past on their way to the next exhibitor. We wanted to create an environment where people could stop, interact and enjoy the experience while getting to know what we do.
One of the highlights was our interactive games section.
The team spent the first part of the day finalising the layout and getting the games area ready. By midday, the booth was buzzing with activity, flashing lights and games ready for visitors to try.
It was a fun way to welcome people into the space, especially those who might not have planned to stop by in the first place.
And that’s the thing about exhibitions. Sometimes, a simple invitation to interact is all it takes to start a conversation.
Paint may be our business, but bringing people together is part of what makes an event like this worthwhile.
Day 2: Where Business Meets Conversation

Day 2 brought a strong focus on networking.
With industry professionals, developers and architects visiting from across the region, ARCHIDEX provided an opportunity to exchange ideas, reconnect with people and explore potential business opportunities.
Our team spent the day welcoming corporate clients, discussing ideas and building relationships that could continue beyond the exhibition floor.
One of the day’s key moments was hosting a formal meeting with the Chairman at our booth. The team had the opportunity to walk him through the setup, share our longer-term vision and receive feedback on the work that had gone into preparing for the event.
Conversations like these are valuable because business isn’t just about presenting what you offer. It’s also about listening, understanding what the industry needs and discovering where there’s room to work together.
Not every conversation needs to end with a deal to be worthwhile. Sometimes, a meaningful connection is the first step towards something bigger.
Day 3: Fresh Energy and the Next Generation

By Day 3, the booth had found its rhythm, and a new wave of visitors brought a different kind of energy to the exhibition.
Students and young professionals made their way through the halls, bringing curiosity, enthusiasm and plenty of excitement to our interactive games section.
The area became a lively gathering point, with visitors cheering one another on and enjoying the activities.
Beyond the games, it was also an opportunity for the team to answer questions, share insights and introduce younger visitors to the solutions and work connected to the built environment industry.
Engaging with the next generation matters. Today’s students and young professionals will become tomorrow’s designers, architects, contractors and industry decision-makers. Giving them opportunities to ask questions and explore the industry is a small but meaningful part of building those connections.
And let’s be honest, seeing people genuinely enjoy something the team worked hard to prepare makes all those hours of setup feel pretty worthwhile.
Day 4: Finishing Strong

All good things eventually come to an end, but we weren’t about to let the final day pass quietly.
With the exhibition entering its closing hours, the team continued welcoming visitors, following up on conversations, capturing leads and making the most of every opportunity.
There were still people to meet, discussions to complete and connections to build. Even with the finish line in sight, the focus remained on making the final hours count.
When the closing announcement echoed through MITEC, our five-day journey came to an end with a team photo and plenty to look back on.
From an empty exhibition space on setup day to a booth filled with activity and conversations, it was satisfying to see everything come together.
Five days had gone by quickly, but there was a lot packed into them.
What ARCHIDEX Means to Seamaster Paint

An exhibition can be measured in leads, meetings and business opportunities, and those are certainly important. But the value of participating in an event like ARCHIDEX goes beyond a single number.
For Seamaster Paint, it was an opportunity to connect with industry professionals, engage with visitors from different backgrounds and create conversations around our work and the wider built environment industry.
It was also a reminder that successful events depend on teamwork. The booth visitors experienced was only one part of the story. Behind it were the planning, coordination and people who made the whole experience possible.
To everyone who stopped by to talk business, try a game, exchange ideas or simply say hello, thank you for being part of our ARCHIDEX journey.
And to the team who helped bring everything together, thank you for the effort, energy and commitment from setup day to the final hours.
We came prepared, made connections, shared a few laughs and left with plenty to take forward.
Until the next one, keep building, keep connecting and keep adding a little more colour to the world.
